The remains of TFC boss' only son, Bunmi Adedayo, who died on Wednesday September 25th of Pneumonia in a South African hospital were buried yesterday afternoon Thursday October 3rd at the Vaults & Gardens cemetery in Ikoyi, Lagos. Bunmi is survived by his parents, wife and two children. May his soul rest in peace...amen.

2 Kenyan Men Have Signed An Agreement To ‘Marry’ The Same Woman

Two Kenyan men have signed an agreement to “marry” the same woman.

The woman had been having affairs with both men for more than four years and apparently refused to choose between them.

The agreement sets out a rota for Sylvester Mwendwa and Elijah Kimani to stay in her house and states they will both help raise any children she bears.

Mr Mwendwa told the BBC he loved the woman and said the contract would “set boundaries” and “keep the peace.Lawyers said the “marriage” would only be recognised if they could prove polyandry – a woman having more than one husband – was part of their custom.

The BBC’s David Okwembah in the capital, Nairobi, says polyandry is not practised by any community in Kenya.

Woman gives birth in bar bathroom, kills & dumps baby in toilet then carried on drinking with her friends

A mum suffocated her newborn son in a pub toilet then carried on drinking with her friends, it is claimed.

Amanda Hein, 26, who had kept the pregnancy secret, gave birth in the toilet cubicle before putting her baby in a plastic bag and stuffing him in the cistern, prosecutors say.

The body was found the next day by a cleaner investigating why the loo would not flush.

Boy who hid in the tyre compartment of Arik Air flight gets Scholarship To University

Gov Rauf Aregbesola’s group,De Raufs, has volunteered to sponsor 15-year-old stowaway teenager, Daniel Oikhena, who hid in the tyre compartment of Arik Air flight from Benin to Lagos.

“Genius and ambitious citizen of our country must not be suffocated on the alter of political and bureaucratic enforcement. The little boy’s ambition should be nurtured through qualitative education, and the group is ready to give the boy all the necessary support to make his dream a reality. 

“We are sincerely willing to offer him the scholarship to encourage thousands of teenagers who are cerebral and ambitious. The leaders in Nigeria fail on their part to see the potential of the little boy. Therefore, De Raufs takes up the responsibility to safe the future of this great boy and not turn him into a criminal.”

In a statement signed by the Director General of De Raufs, Comrade Amitolu Shittu, the group is ready to give scholarship to Daniel up to university level and help him realise his dream of travelling by air legitimately.

The boy’s mother, Mrs Oikhena will be getting a lot of support from De Raufs to keep her son’s dream alive.

U.S. Embassy – ASUU Strike Worries us

United States has expressed worry over the lingering feud between the Federal Government and the striking public universities’ lecturers over their demand for better working conditions.

Speaking in Abuja yesterday, the US Embassy Cultural Affairs Officer, Bill Strassberger, urged the government to resolve the crisis with the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

“We are not involved in that negotiation but we can encourage. It is a fear, it is a worry for us because that would make it hard for the students to come.” Strassberger said.

Advising Nigerians to shun those who parade themselves as agents, Strassberger said accurate information regarding studying in the US could be obtained from the embassy.

Earlier, the Head, Education USA, Jennifer Onyukwu, said the ASUU’s strike would affect intending students from Nigeria who wish to study in the US because of the need to obtain their transcript, revealing that statistically, Nigeria was US’s largest sender of students from sub-saharan Africa.

Nigeria currently has about 7,028 students studying at over 700 institutions in the USA.

5 NANS members die in fatal auto crash on their way to UNIUYO

The Senate President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Donald Onukaogu and four other students were killed in a tragic auto accident along the Umuahia - Ikot Ekpene federal road on their way to the University of Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State to intervene in the crisis that rocked the school yesterday. The bus they were traveling in collided with a trailer which was said to have lost control.

Donald was a student of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri. May their souls rest in peace. Amen.

Litigants and witnesses at the Atani Chief Magistrate Court in Ogbaru local government area of Anambra State Wednesday witnessed a mild drama in the court premises as some people who claimed to be homosexuals nearly disrupted court proceedings in solidarity with two suspected homosexuals standing trial for allegedly committing same sex offence.

As early as 9 .00am, a large number of men with feminist outlook started gathering at the court premises to the surprise of the people around and it was only then that information filtered into the area that they came to identify with two of their members who were arrested by the police and charged to court for same sex violation related offense.

Akin Shuga honours MKO by dedicating a tribute Song for him.

The composer of  Nigeria's National Anthem, Pa Benedict Odiase has passed on. Mr Odiase died last night in his sleep. He composed Arise O Compatriots” in May 1978.

Pa Odiase retired in 1992 as a Deputy Commissioner of Police after being the Director of Music with the Nigeria Police Band.

Ambassador Susan Rice was up until recently the American Ambassador to the United Nations. Her long-standing aspiration of becoming the Secretary of State for her country was dashed when the Republicans in the Senate started sharpening their knives in anticipation of her formal nomination for that position by President Barak Obama.

 

Sensing that her nomination would not scale through the Senate and that she would not be confirmed as Secretary of State due to the role she played in the cover up of the Benghazi affair in which the American Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens, and three other American citizens were murdered by a group of islamist terrorists, her nomination was withdrawn.

Update On The Married Woman Ráped Inside Police StatioN

Mrs. Esse Isaiah Ozegbe, who was arrested on February 26, 2013, following a quarrel with her neighbour, was detained among men at Abraka police station, where two boys ráped her in turn, and laughing, while the policemen on duty kept quiet.

Consequently, the station cell guard has been dismissed from the police and a Police Inspector, Mrs. Erebi Akporunor, has been demoted to the rank of sergeant. This is phase one of the fall-out of the rápe of Mrs. Esse Isaiah Ozegbe inside the station....

The dismissal and demotion of the police personnel were the outcome of an orderly room trial carried out by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 5, of 11 policemen in connection with the saga.

Policemen on duty that fáteful night paid deaf ears to her cry for help, while the boys ráped her in turn.

The two boys, who ráped Mrs. Ozegbe, are currently standing trial at a Magistrate Court in Abraka.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Ozegbe, through her lawyer, Efe Ejomafuvwe, had instituted a suit at the Federal High in Warri, Delta State. In the suit, she is claiming the sum of N750 million damages against the Nigeria Police Force.

The trial will commence on June 13, 2013.

Container truck crushes man to death in Lagos

According to a report by Punch, a heavy loaded 40-foot container fell on a government meat van yesterday June 6th, crushing a passerby and wounding several others. The sad event took place at Ikeja Along Bus Stop on Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway in Lagos.

Eyewitnesses said the truck had swerved off the road to avoid colliding with some policemen, who were chasing a motorcycle rider, before the incident occurred around 9am yesterday.

The victim, identified as Samuel Ogunnaike, was an employee of a popular phone dealer in Computer Village, Ikeja, and was on his way to the office when he met his death. Any hope that he could survive the accident was dashed after he was trapped for about four hours before his body was retrieved from the wreckage. (Punch)

Nigerian Woman Murdered In Spain By A Kung Fu Master (SEE PHOTO)

One of the most famous martial arts masters of Spain, Juan Carlos Aguilar, 47, was arrested for the murder of a Nigerian prostitute in Spain.

The 29-years-old Nigerian woman, Maureen Ada Ortuya, was allegedly beaten up by Kung Fu martial artist Juan Carlos Aguilar and left in coma after the assault. She was found by the police at Aguilar's gym after a passerby saw him drag a woman by the hair inside his Buddist temple and alerted the police who came and took the woman to the Basurto hospital in Bilbao where she died on Wednesday morning at about 12pm.

Man suing surgeon after he woke from surgery to find his entire nose removed

A man woke up after getting a nose job to find that the plastic surgeon had removed his nose entirely.
Patient Vishal Thakkar went to Dr Angelo Cuzalina, the president of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, for more than eight surgeries over the course of a half a dozen years. 

Mr Thakkar said after he went through a divorce in 2006, he decided to 'do something selfish' and get a nose job. He was living in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the time and went to one of the leading plastic surgeons in the area, Dr. Cuzalina.

Step Father Stabs 26-Year Old Step-Son To Death

A 26-year-old man, Godfery Osinikpo, has allegedly lost his life for interfering in the marital affairs of his step-father. Osinikpo, a native of Illah, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, died after he was allegedly stabbed in the chest by his 45-year-old step-father simply identified as Onyeka, after a disagreement over family issues. The victim’s mother who allegedly got married to the suspect after her first marriage that produced Osinikpo crashed, was said to have moved into her new matrimonial home with Osinikpo and had been living there, but to the distaste of her new husband. According to sources, Onyeka and his step-son had never been in good terms, although he did not send the victim packing. On the fateful day, a heated argument allegedly ensued between Onyeka and his wife, following which Osinikpo took sides with his mother. Although the cause of the argument could not be ascertained, Onyeka was said to have accused the late Osinikpo of meddling in the disagreement between husband and wife, following which he became infuriated and asked Osinkpo to leave the house, an order that was allegedly rebuffed. In anger, Onyeka was said to have reached for a dagger in his room with which he stabbed the his step-son on the chest and he died on the spot. According to the Delta State Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Lucky Uyabeme, the suspect is on the run but the police would soon track him down. He said the corpse of the victim has been deposited at Ebu General Hospital for autopsy.

EFCC Arrests Five Undergraduates, Four Others For Internet Scam

Five under-graduates from different institutions and four other Nigerians were on Monday arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over internet-related fraud. The undergraduates, who are undergoing different courses in different institutions of higher learning, were rounded up in Ibadan, Oyo State in a sting operation.
The commission listed the culprits as Sunkanmi Odewale – 200 level Mechanical Engineering student of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State; Olowofola Tolu – 300 level Economics student of Lead City University, Ibadan; Ekundayo Damilola – 300 level Computer Science/Economics student, Lead City University, Ibadan; Adelabu Kolawole – HND II Purchasing and Supply student of Ibadan Polytechnic, Ibadan; and Bankole Oluwaseyi Fisayo – OND II Marketing student of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree. Others are: Okewole Adesesan – Real Estate Manager with Sesan Okewole & Sons Limited; Emmanuel Ubaman – trader; Fisayo Ajibola – Travel Agent with Milleage Travel and Tours; and Oyebisi Femi – a fish farmer. The suspects, who are accused of milking their unsuspecting victims via the internet were arrested in different locations at Oluyole Estate extension, Ibadan, Oyo State. Items recovered from them include eight laptops, one mini-laptop, two Ipads; two Honda cars; a Toyota Camry and Toyota Venza cars. The EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, said the suspects will be arraigned in court as soon as investigation is concluded.

120 million Nigerians still in darkness, FG admits

The Federal Government on Wednesday regretted that despite the various efforts being put into stabilising the power sector; about 120 million Nigerians were still in darkness.

The Minister of State for Power, Mrs. Zaynab Kuchi, disclosed this while briefing State House correspondents on the outcome of the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting presided over by President Goodluck Jonathan.

US Government seize home belonging to Alamieyeseigha in Maryland

The US government has seized a Rockville home belonging to former Bayelsa governor, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, the U.S. Department of Justice said in a news release last week Friday May 31.

Feds said they seized the home because the former governor bought the house using stolen state money. Alamieyeseigha was ordered to relinquish the $700,000 home on May 24, following an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
